Dolphin Hyperspace is an electronic jazz duo consisting of Los Angeles based saxophonist Nicole McCabe and bassist Logan Kane, two artists who play a big musical role in the Minaret roster.
“Mini Giraffe” (7.15.21) LP is the duo’s second album and their first release together on Minaret – featuring the incredible saxophone playing of Nicole McCabe throughout amongst zany synths and bonkers production from Logan. It’s a 10 track club-jazz record that unpacks many abstract scenarios involving cute animals of all kinds. The duo recorded Nicole’s saxophone solos first and transcribed them note-for-note to keep the improvisational heart of jazz at the forefront of the music.
