Detroit. Tuesdays at Trinosophes is back with a very special duo performance from trombonist and local Zekkereya El-Magharbel & DC drummer/percussionist Kweku Sumbry. They will be playing music from—and basing improvisations on—a forthcoming record called “The Longest River in the World”, inspired by Egyptian/Sudanese melodies + rhythms and the visual art of Mohammad Omer Khalil.
