Throne Beneath the Sky is the new concept album from Los Angeles-based guitarist/vocoderist takoda and his first solo offering since 2022’s Foglake Forever. Releasing in four chapters on consecutive Fridays in July (10th, 17th, 24th, 31st), the work reimagines a classic hero’s journey, following a nervous prince’s transformation into a king through a twisting story of ambition, loss, self-discovery and redemption. Each chapter reveals a new stage of our protagonist’s journey while offering a distinct musical arc & feel.  

Inspired by toy puppet theater, Throne Beneath the Sky is paired with a full length live-action puppet film that brings the lyrics & world of the album to life. Musical guests include intimate takoda collaborators Nicole McCabe, Anatole Muster, Hubie, and more.
